We started Urexmyth Lox because we saw too many people trying to navigate investment communities alone. The landscape changed so much between 2020 and 2024 that what worked before just didn't anymore. And honestly? Most folks needed a different kind of support.

How This Started

Back in early 2023, a small group of us kept meeting at the same coffee shop on Dupont Street. We'd all been burned by investment groups that overpromised and underdelivered. The pattern was exhausting — big claims, minimal follow-through, and communities that felt more like sales pitches than actual support networks.

So we decided to build something different. Not flashy. Not promising overnight wealth. Just a solid framework where people could learn together, share real experiences, and make informed decisions about their financial futures.

By mid-2024, we'd grown from five people to a proper community. That's when we knew we were onto something that mattered.

Community Director

Freya spent eight years working with credit unions across Ontario before joining us in 2024. She believes that good financial education should feel like a conversation, not a lecture. She's the one who makes sure our community stays grounded and accessible.

Siobhan Ó Brádaigh

Education Coordinator

Siobhan came to us from a background in adult education and curriculum development. She designs our learning pathways to be flexible enough for different experience levels while maintaining depth. Her philosophy? Everyone learns differently, so rigid programs don't work.
